Basically, what it comes down to is I can't sing and I can't dance. I sort of had that feeling before auditioning for HAIR, but I pushed it aside and did it anyway.
Uh, I should have learned this lesson in NYC when I auditioned for RENT. But noooo.... The lesson is this: know your limitations and stick to what you know. Song and dance just isn't me--as much as I want it to be. So, I'll just stick with the acting (and singing in the shower).
In other news: Libby had another seizure. It's scary. But, unlike last time, the seizure didn't last anywhere near as long as the last one, thank God. But she has really slowed down a lot since these seizures began. As long as she's not in pain and discomfort...
My audition in Miami seemed to have gone well. I got a good vibe from the auditioneers. However, I haven't heard anything back yet (which is never a good sign). I have to have patience, I guess, and hope, too. So, here I sit hoping and waiting to hear how I did and if I got it. I hope I do, because that would, that could pay a lot of bills...
Speaking of which, I cancelled my FPTA audition--we're financially strapped and I don't want to dole out the $50 to audition (I'd rather put that toward taking Libby to the vet). Dan and I are working hard on the AdSense sites, domain flipping, and CPAs.
However, Saturday night is the Lake Worth Playhouse award ceremony--I wouldn't miss that for anything. I'd love to win, but I'm honored just to have been nominated. I don't think I'll win anyway but one can hope, right? Keep your fingers crossed!
That's it for now. xoxox
